Experience the Insides of a Dishwasher with This Prank

Passers-by in the middle of Church Square, Cape Town in South Africa were invited to enter a huge pop-up artwork structure. What happened next is insane and totally unexpected. Though, we can’t blame anyone, because if I saw a big pop-up interactive exhibit out of nowhere one day, I wouldn’t be able to resist going in either. Remember, curiosity kill—…er…drenched the cat! Good ole Samsung Home Appliances shows innocent people what it’s like to be inside of a dishwasher with their interactive art prank. Though, it’s not completely in vain—as this online ad is here to promote their new Waterfall dishwasher technology.

The clueless folk enter in the makeshift dishwasher, dazzled with lights and moving sprayer-like arms on the floor spouting water; thankfully the curious are able to walk around it, for now. Once they’re prompted out of wonder to place their palm on a round sphere with an imprinted hand, a falling waterfall is initiated and inches its way to them and the unsuspecting are everything but dry. Buzzkill alert: like some of the comments allude, I have a suspecting guess this online ad does include fake actors since the prank could go awry ruining phones, or people being late to work. Nonetheless, it’s an awesome experimental marketing campaign that would be fun to experience what it’s like to be in a dishwasher. Or, if you want to skip all that, you can always watch the insides of one with this guy’s GoPro. Who ever said appliances were boring? Apparently not Samsung with this ingenious marketing campaign.
