Get Rid of Furniture Carpet Dents with Ice Cubes

If it’s time to do a little rearranging in your carpeted home, then you know all about the unsightly dents that are left behind from your couch, recliner or entertainment system. Sometimes, those divots don’t seem to go away! Instead of waiting on your carpet’s time clock to get back into shape, you can use an ice cube right from your freezer to solve the problem. It’s an easy solution that really works for your carpet or rugs.  Grab out an ice cube per dent, and place them on top of the divots. This is the easiest part -- allow the ice cubes to melt. Before you know it, your carpet or rug will be back in tip-top shape. If you’re getting rid of the divots on a rug, it’s always a good idea to place a towel underneath to absorb any liquid that may come through. Afterwards, you can lightly fluff up your flooring with a fork or old toothbrush to help inflate the fibers; remember to blot the areas with a cloth to soak up remaining water. If you find the ice cubes haven’t fixed the dents, grab yourself up a damp cloth, fold it a couple of times, and place it on your problem areas. Turn on your clothes iron to a low-heat setting and steam away the dents. With this one, you need to work fast as no one wants a burnt carpet or rug. Whether you’re changing things around a bit, getting ready to sell your home and prepping it to get ‘show’ ready, this effective method is practical and doesn’t require too much effort. Have you ever used an ice cube to get rid of your carpet or rug dents?
