The Coolest Cooler in Town: It Blends, Plays Music, Lights Up & Opens Bottles

If you think coolers are just there to cool down a beer and a sandwich, you’ve got it all wrong—thanks to inventor Ryan Grepper of Portland, Oregon. In his most recent KickStarter campaign, Grepper has raised over $4.8 million for a high-tech cooler that changes everything, and camping trips or the beach will never be the same. The Coolest Cooler really does have some cool features. It comes with a full-sized blender that blends up any drink you could imagine. With an 18-volt battery built right into the cooler, attach the portable blender to the Coolest lid, push the button, and you can crush well over 6 gallons of ice and drink on a single charge. Hello strawberry daiquiris. Playing music through your phone just got a whole lot better. This cooler has a waterproof, Bluetooth speaker so you can play exactly what you want right through your cooler from your phone. Plus, the speaker is removable! Can Pandora be anymore convenient? Since the cooler comes with an 18-volt built-in battery (and I’m pretty sure you won’t be crushing 6 gallons worth of drinks in a single outing), the Coolest even has a waterproof USB charger so you can charge up your camera, smartphone and more. Plus, this thing even has light-up LEDs inside so you know exactly what you’re grabbing when the sun goes down. Enough with the technical stuff, the hardware of the Coolest is pretty ingenious. Among having wide wheels for sandy terrain, tie downs like a roof rack to hold down lawn chairs and more, the Coolest also has practical storage. It can store up to 6 plastic plates, comes with a ceramic knife, and you can use this inner-flap storage option also as a cutting board. With a split divider to keep ice separated (for your smoothies), use the divider to keep ice on one side and your goods on the other—acting like a dry refrigerator. Oh yes, how could I almost forget. This thing comes with a bottle opener on the side. So you don’t have to worry about someone heisting your opener and leaving you empty-handed or with chipped teeth trying to open a cold one. If you’re itching to buy one, you can contribute $185 to secure a Coolest Cooler as the funding will be finished next month, August 29th.
