Polish Your Stovetop with Car Wax for a Nonstick Surface

From cleaning grates, unclogging the burners, and soaking the oven racks, keeping your stove in tip top shape is a ton of work. That’s not even getting into the cooking aspect of it. With burnt-on char, greasy speckles, and baked-on food bits covering your stovetop's surface, it’s no wonder you want to eat out all of the time. Thanks to a tip from Real Simple, we can put a stop to this madness. All you need is some car wax that’s stashed away in your garage and a soft cloth. After you’re finished with your stove-cleaning regime, apply a very thin layer of car wax onto your stove with the cloth. Wax on, wax off. Rub the wax into the enamel of your stovetop in circular movements until you have a supreme shine. Then, wipe it off. Not only will you give your stove a glossy finish that’ll make it look like new, but the car wax will act as a protective barrier from spills and messes. Food bits and the likes will wipe off, and it won’t be such a chore to clean up your stovetop. Cooking may now resume.
