Clean Your Glass Stove Top with Baking Soda

After a while, it’s inevitable your glass cooktop is in need of some good ole fashioned cleaning. Instead of spending a ton of money on glass cleaners, you more than likely have all that you need right home. To get your stove top clean, all you need is baking soda, warm water, dish soap, and a towel!

Over at weblog Behind the Studio, Jayna shares her easy tip on getting a sparkly glass surface. You simply fill up a bowl with warm, soapy water and pop your towel in your sudsy mixture. Then, sprinkle a good amount of baking soda over your glass stove top. Take out your towel, wring it out, and lay it over your cooktop for about 20 minutes. Then, using the towel, begin rubbing your stovetop in circular motions. The baking soda paste is a soft abrasive that removes the gunk and polishes the glass as you go.

Wipe up the baking soda, and allow it to dry naturally or with paper towels. If you’re looking for an extra shine, use a diluted vinegar and water solution afterwards.
