From Wadded Ball to Perfect Rectangle, This is How You Fold a Fitted Bed Sheet

Folding a fitted bed sheet is a bit of a mystery. How do you do it? After you pull your extra fitted sheets out of the clothes dryer, if you’re like me, they end up in an attempted folded mess stuffed in the closet or left in the laundry hamper until needed, taking up space like no tomorrow. It’s not the most practical thing to leave fitted sheets in unsightly-wadded balls; thankfully Jill Cooper from LivingOnADime.com has solved this domestic problem with her folding method that actually works! Plus, she’s super supportive and encouraging during while solving one of life’s biggest challenges…what more could we ask for? In the lighthearted video above, Cooper shows you how to fold a fitted sheet like a boss. To begin, hold your sheet out lengthwise, corner-to-corner, with the right side facing you. Then, you fold corner one over corner two. You continue to tuck in all of the corners into each other within your first tuck in a chronological order – you definitely will want to watch the video a few times to get down her method.  From there, you straighten out the two bottom edges, lay the sheet on a table or your bed, and fold the sheet into thirds both in length and width. Before you know it, you’ll have a perfectly folded rectangle bed sheet that’s not taking up the entire closet. Once you get this method down, the folding process should be fairly quick. If you’re feeling really organized and snazzy, you can even store your perfect rectangle fold right inside of a pillowcase to keep your sets together. Whoa. No more wadded ball excuses ever again.
