Never Drink Old Coffee Again with This DIY Cup Timer

Old, burnt coffee is not a good start to the day. Especially in the office. Gross. Ew. That scenario is the symptom of having a case of the Mondays. Let’s end the madness today.

Thanks to the brilliant idea from a (deleted) user from Reddit’s r/lifehacks, all you need are two Styrofoam cups stacked upon and nested into each other.

On the rim of the bottom cup, simply write the times in one-hour increments. It may be wise to write in your office’s hours so you can provide 15-30 minute increments between hours if you want to be more detailed.

Then, on your top cup, label it “Time coffee was made” and draw an arrow straight down to the edge of the rim. Pop your coffee timer on top or beside the coffeemaker and you’re good to go.

So when someone makes the coffee, all they have to do is simply turn the top cup to the time it was made. Now you’ll really know if that full pot of brew is really fresh or not.
