Never Drink Warm Beer Again

It’s a hot day out, the koozie isn’t doing anything, and you’ve got a warm beer in your hands. This summer scenario is just plain wrong and will never happen again thanks to a beer slushy maker. Krin Ichiban, a Japanese beer company (kudos to you if you know your foreign beers), is bringing cold beer to a warm hand near you. For real though, there’s a trend going on in Japan with super-cold beers. In 2012, Kirin served beer slushes in Tokyo’s special beer gardens. You may have even seen the infamous slushy maker at the LA Dodgers Stadium, too. Welp, this very technology is now available to your home. Now, there needs to be some clarification here. This beverage appliance doesn’t actually make your whole entire beer into a slush-haven. We were a bit disappointed in finding that out too—but don’t let that sink your boat. The beer slushy maker freezes beer into whipped foam so you can top your regular frosted mug with a slushy, frothy, cold beer cap. The best part is, while your cooling down your drink with the same frozen goodness, the beer cap will help keep your beverage cold for 30 minutes in the blistering sun after it has been poured. While you’re at it, check out this Japanese ad for the whipped frozen beer cap: Powered up with four C batteries, you can grab one of these bad boys for $100 at the Japan Trend Shop. According to the site, the instructions are in Japanese, but the appliance is easy to use. Hey, at least it guarantees cold beer. Though, if you’re not feeling the love there, you can always try out Food Network’s Beer Slush Recipe.
