Spray Cooking Spray Over a Dishwasher Door

When a recipe calls for a greased pan, busting out the cooking spray usually leaves more than just film on just your pan. The stuff goes everywhere! If you’re looking for an easy way to avoid cleaning up the residue from your countertops, The Kitchn found a fantastic hack to do just the trick. Pop open your dishwasher door, place your baking sheet over the door, and simply spray your cooking spray.

Here’s the The Kitchn’s logic behind it:

Since a dishwasher is designed to hold dirty dishes, it doubles well as a surface you don't have to clean. Make sure all clean dishes are emptied, then place the baking pan over the door and spray away! It's also a great place to dust baking pans with flour or cakes with powdered sugar.

Pretty simple, right? The best part about it is, after you run the dishwasher, all of the residual spray is gone. Plus, you just saved yourself the hassle from cleaning up your countertops.
