Stop Kitchen Towels from Slipping Off Your Oven’s Handle

You use your kitchen towels for everything in the kitchen—from wiping off the food crusties on the counter or using them to grasp around hot dishes that need to be moved. You know what you don’t use your kitchen towels for? The floor. Those don’t belong there, but inevitably end up in the ‘no’ zone.

I don’t know about you, but my kitchen towels always slip off my oven’s handle, or if I get enough of the oven's shenanigans, I end up trying to cram my handle towels in small and inconvenient spaces, hoping they’ll stand their ground…without falling on the ground. It just doesn’t work.

Good thing the folks over there at theKitchn were having this problem too, because they have just the solution to solve the problem: hang your kitchen towels with bull clips and ribbon from your oven’s handle. You can use any ribbon, yarn or heavy-duty string you have lying around your home—which is perfect considering what time of the year it is. Simply feed a bull clip through your ribbon, and tie a square knot around the oven handle to secure it in place (theKitchn has instructions how to do so). Then, clip on one kitchen towel per bull clip. So easy.

Some of the commenters from theKitchn suggest using bull clips with magnets (though this would be super easy to rig yourself with some super glue). Then you can stick the magnetic clips to your refrigerator or any other metal appliance to hang your towels.

Mission solved. No more kitchen towels becoming floor towels.
