Kenmore dryer will run for approximately five minutes. It then stops and throws a CLL SRU error code. I have researched this to mean “Call for Service”. I have seen others potential causes that range from shorted heating element, to dirty lint screen/venting.

This samsung dryer is running for 2 min. then drops to 1 min. left and ends cycle. I noticed the back legs had dropped off the top of the washer. I lifted it back up and cleaned sensor bars, but cycle still shutting off in 3 min. Any ideas?

I followed the instructions doing everything stated on your video found at this link.Everything checked out ok.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpZXoD16uvs

After doing these things the dryer ok ran for a couple days but then the thermostat reset button began popping out again. I replaced the thermostat with an OEM new one and the dryer ran ok for a couple days. Now the new thermostat button is popping out again and has to be reset. It’s happening so often that I drilled an access hole in the front of the dryer so I can just
reach in and reset the button when it pops. Any thoughts about what to do next?

The dryer powers on but doesn’t start. Pressing the start button gives 3 beeps almost like the door isn’t closed. I put the dryer into test mode and all I get is error code EHd, this doesn’t appear in any diagnostics codes anywhere. The control panel appears to be responsive. None of the error code sheets show this error code.

There was a large amount of lint being blown out the back of the dryer and I cleaned out the outlet. I’m about to take apart the bulkhead to get to the blower and vacuum that out too.

I have examined the heating element of this Samsung dryer; but it did not appear broken. The coils were a bit black in some places but nothing broken. The inside of the dryer was filthy with lint … on the motor, in the heating element, and clogged in the lint exhaust hose. The tub spins and it has power. Is this low heat condition and indication that the heating element is going out or is there a problem with a thermostat not working correctly? What would cause a low heat condition in the dryer?

Thanks-

Fred / Lubbock, TX.

Hello this specific issue is on a Kenmore dryer 796.81172210. The cooling light stays on and there is no heat. I have replaced heater which solved the heat issue but my question is why is the cooling light staying on??

I have experienced this issue many times in Samsung dryer especially once it’s fixed the heaters on and the light stays on after repair Any thought to why this is?

Is there a self diagnostic mode. If so please explaine how to use it.

Hi – I really appreciate your videos.

I have the issue captioned above and it is just like the problem experienced in your video:

I have checked belt slippage/alignment and the belt switch (as was the problem above) and they both appear fine.

Any suggestions on what I should do next? BTW, I don’t have a multimeter so testing and diagnostics are as not easy as they could be.

I have Fisher & Paykel Top loading Dryer.

Recently it stopped drying. A repair person came out and reset the thermostat and advised me to have the venting to the outside cleaned out. I got the venting cleaned out, then it tripped again. He came back out and removed the drum behind the lint bucket and cleaned that out along with resetting the thermostat.

The thermostat intermittently will trip. I have noticed it trips less frequently if I use timed dry vs. the sensing dry. I can reset and it will keep drying. The heat works.

I am trying to determine if it’s just the thermostat I should replace or if there is a part for the sensing functionality that should also be replaced.

Advice is appreciated.

I have a customer that wants me to convert his LG dryer to LP. It is an LG model # DLG3171. I typed this number into your model # guide, with no results. I checked PartsPro website and that number came up. So I know that it is a good number. Do you have a video for this model # or something close to it showing how to take it apart? And 2, how long should a job like this take?
Thank you
Bob

Hello, I pulled the cover off my igniter on my gas dryer, and the flame will ignite for about 5-10 minutes and then goes out.

The dryer belt on the Samsung dryer comes off about every 2 or 3 months. I checked the pulleys including motor pulley and belt tension pulley and I see no problem with them. The drum rollers look good and are not worn and the inner drum seems to be fine. I asked the customer if they were turning the drum counterclockwise when they take the clothes out. They said no. I also asked if they were overloading the dryer. They said no. THe dryer is 2 to 3 years old. Any suggestions? Thanks, Ray

Need Help on a GE Dryer, This unit will only run for Five minutes an then shut off,

You can Press the start Button and it will Start back up, but you can set the Control to
Air only and it will then run Normal. Could this be in the Control or the Thermister
problem ? You can set the control To No heat and the Dryer will then
Run Normal. I am thinking it may be a bad thermistor or Main Control, Need your help.

Can you give me some help, I would appreciate it.
First let me tell you, my dryer is completely apart! When the dryer was put on “Time Dry” it did not dry the clothes. It at first got slightly warm. And then went thru the whole time without drying the clothes.
What would you consider the most likely part(s) to be ? And how would I go about testing the component(s) with VOM?
Thanks for your help and time, Rich.

Hello my question today is with the Samsung dryer looks like it’s the dual element style will run for 3-5 seconds and then shut off. If the power is turned off and restarted on the unit it would start again for another 3-5 seconds and then shut off but if it’s press to start without powering off the unit it will not start again unless it’s powered off. This seems to happen in any mode whether it’s timed or auto. The unit is only about two years old I don’t think it’s running long enough for that motor to even overheat within 3-5 seconds also the unit is that even running long enough to even start to warm up in the 3 to 5 second window.

I would just like to know what to suspect at this point? To check the relay on the board to see if it’s open or is this a known issue ? I have not seen the Samsung dryer do this before

Hi,
I looked at the titles of repair videos in your list. There are 3(I think) available LG Dryer repair videos that may be the issue, but the model number is different from mine……
1) Does that make a difference?
2) Do I have to purchase each video to find out how to fix it?
3) How can I tell which video will address my dryer’s problem?
4) I saw video titles for other brands of dryers (GE, Samsung, etc). Are the different brands and models so different from mine that one won’t apply to the other?

The thermal fuse on heater keeps blowing, the thermostat, fuse, and thermistor have all been replaced but problem persists. We have checked and air flow is not an issue. What else can we do.

it started by squeaking alot. repair guy’s solution: spray wd 40 and saying “see, it’s not sqeaking now”. $75.00 that cost me. within a month noise was back. took it apart. drum roller on right side ground down the little fiber washer but was moving ok. I replaced both drum rollers and washers of course and the damn belt pulley also. worked for a while then eventually started making a grinding noise…due to the the drum hitting the front cowling or whatever it’s called. find metal filings at bottom in front. I replaced the guides (the blue and cork ones) worked well for a while and now it’s grinding again. I can reach inside the machine and lift the drum in front and it moves 1/2 to 1 inch when I push toward the ceiling. I need to figure out how to keep the drum from tilting down in front. I thought of wedging something small under the guides in front to raise them up but don’t know if it would create enough lift to get the drum off of the part it’s grinding on. Any bright ideas are most welcome….other than “get a new dryer”

Found the belt shredded last year and replaced it, but seems to have happened again. How can it be going through them so fast since the customer doesn’t use it on that consistent of a schedule? I can replace the belt again but don’t want to do this every year. and cover the cost of the part if something else is going on.
