Appliance Type: Standalone Freezer

My freezer is leaking water from somewhere.

The lights on my control panel will not come on.

There is a layer of frost covering everything inside.

My icemaker has been making hollow icecubes.

The door on my freezer will not stay shut.

My GE freezer will not turn on or do anything.

The interior light flashes as well, when I close the door I can reset my temperature to my desire setting until the doors open again then it resets once again. You may contact me at 606-349-6700 or 606-349-6717.

I’ve checked evaporator coil for ice buildup. No ice, fan is working, freezer thermostat has continuity , freezer thermistor good, door seal in good shape and clean, no gaps, condenser is running but hot to touch, relay isn’t clicking, no unusual noises, door controller reading”high temperature” ,set on lowest setting #7 temperature is 23. Any ideas?

THE “DOOR AJAR” ALARM KEEPS SOUNDING. IT STOPPED FOR ABOUT A WEEK AND THEN CAME BACK. I CHANGED THE DOOR SWITCH WITH NO EFFECT. THE UNIT IS COOLING WELL AND THE DOOR SHUTS PROPERLY. I’M THINKING IT’S IN THE BOARD. ANY THOUGHTS WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Not cooling properly in freezer

I have an issue with a Freezer, it’s a Frigidaire and this is the problem I am seeing: Intermittent cooling

Hello, We have a freezer that doesn’t keep the temperature and everything thaws. We empty the freezer and then it starts working again.
We would like to know what is wrong, what parts we need to get, and need help in fixing it.
this has happened before, and it worked for a year and it happened again. It is definitely something that needs to be fixed and we want to repair it before we use it again.

why does Kenmore upright freezer top shelf have a big big frost built up none of the other shelfs do this this is a very simple unit manual defrost no interior fan.

I am not getting any power to the fan or compressor.
I disconnected the plug that leads from the power source to the box below the door switch.
there is power going into the box but not going out of it meaning supplying the compressor and fan ect

I think this is a simple freezer could it be the control board that fried up the comp relay and does this have a defrost timer on the back thanks

so the temp in the freezer is not freezing.
i open the back unit the coils are frozen .
i put the unit into defrost and i can hear the ice melting . however i believe there is too much ice for it to melt before the cycle is done.
i tested the timer and it went back into a normal cycle what can the issue be?

I asked you last week about a Kenmore upright freezer that I determined to have a bad compressor. I got there and the temp in the freezer was 68*. I was told that it stopped freezing a few days ago, ( probably more than that ) and so I checked the evap/fan and it was working fine. So, I pulled it out and checked the compressor and it was so hot, I could barely touch it. I unplugged it for about 15 minutes and put a hard start on it, because the relay was bad. Let it run for about 20 minutes. Both the compressor and hard start were hot.
I was schooled to think that if the compressor is that HOT, and has been running like that for a while; that it’s NO GOOD. The reason is, as I was told, that the high temp breaks down the oils, etc in the compressor.
My customer had another freezer ( chest type ) and it was also NOT freezing. I opened the compressor panel and checked the temperature of the compressor and it was HOTTER than her upright. ( sho has a coffee plus shop ). I told her that both freezers were no good.
Anyways she called her refrigeration service people out. He told her, that the only thing wrong with the chest freezer is that it needs to be defrosted.
QUESTION: was I schooled correctly to think that if the compressor runs that hot for an ” unknown ” period of time that it is NO GOOD?

I have a customer that has a Kenmore upright freezer.. It’s reading “Hi-Temp”. “7 on the controls. Before I go and look at it, would you please send to me the service manual for this, or let me know WHERE you get them? Because, I looked on the Internet and couldn’t find it. Second, do you know why it’s reading high?

replaced board on Kenmore freezer 24hours ago part #216979600 was not running now its cold but flashing

The temperature in the freezer at 17 degrees
I cleaned the coils and I feel cold air blowing inside the freezer as well

My Kenmore freezer is not cooing properly.
