See above. Newer model Samsung French Door refrigerator. Display is on the right hand side on interior of refrigerator. Above “Fridge” button flashes the letter C. Above the “Freezer” button flashes 40, 24, 25, and 65. Unit appears to be maintaining temp however it will intermittently trip the breaker. We have replaced main control board already.

I have been wrestling with this for the past two days – ever since my wife noticed that everything in the fridge was frozen. This is a Samsung unit with the fridge on top and the freezer on the bottom. The freezer is working just fine and the freezer display agrees with a separate freezer thermometer I put inside the freezer. The fridge side, however, is set at 38*, but the internal thermometer says it’s about 12* in there!

I downloaded the service manual for this model fridge, but it is rather poorly written. I checked for trouble codes, but I didn’t have anything that matched what was in the service manual. On start up my display will completely light up for a second or two, then go dark and then a number “3” will pop up of the refrigerator side of the display. Then the display will show the actual temperatures of the freezer and fridge before going back to displaying the selected temperature settings.

A quick online search indicates a bad thermistor in the refrigerator section. I am a little wary because on start up, the fridge displays actual temperature quite accurately. Some thermometer inside the fridge is working. I get that a thermistor is not a thermometer and that if the thermistor is responsible for making the fridge self-defrost, then I guess it would make sense.

I suspect that the fridge evaporator is completely iced over. In an effort to remedy this, I went into the “forced operation” mode and selected fridge defrost. I’m currently listening to my bridge beep constantly as I wait to see if this does anything.

Food safety is something that I really obsess about and getting this fridge back to normal as quickly as possible is a huge priority for me.

Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated!

I will be looking at a Samsung refrigerator with above model number (from customer). Says water is not dispensing, was a sporadic problem before but now nothing. It does dispense ice cubes.
Where would I find the tech sheet on the unit?
Does anyone have the tech sheet to send? Thanks in advance

No Cool. Both the refrigerator and freezer. I have heard the compressor kick on. no error codes, temp on door says what it should be, not what it is.

what else do I need to trouble shoot?

Not sure if you will see this, but I have a question. I replaced the heater and the sensor and It looks like I received the same replacement heater you all used. Where the wire from the left side has its own connector. The OEM heater’s left side wire is connected with the right to go into the same wire harness. In your video at the 8 minute mark you all cut and go to the finishing steps. Before that, the left wire is still sitting unconnected. After 8 minutes it is connected. Did you all splice the wire? in the empty harrness/connector that was on the right wire or do you leave it dangling and do nothing? This is the second time I have ordered this part. It does not look exactly like the original but close. Help I am at a total loss here. I have pics if I can send them.

Those Samsung dual cool types are nasty to solve or work on.
First off I unplugged it for 15 minutes to reset. I went to put a cooler eval fan motor on it..
Codes cooler side readout 88 is what it looks like the code is the bars that make up the 8… Freezer side has no faults
First 8 right side both vertical bars lit.
Second 8 right bottom vertical bar very top and very bottom horizontal bars lit..
Any thoughts?

There is power to the washer and the led on the main board is illuminated. But if I push the power button it usually doesn’t come on. If it is unplugged for half a day it may work half a cycle and the same thing happens. The power button on the circuit panel is ok. What is the issue? Have you seen this before? What tests can I do? Where do I start?
How do I do the diagnostics on this washer? It only has a USB port. Is the smartphone any good and will it work if it doesn’t power up? Will it detect this problem?

The machine is making noise during the spin cycle. Now it’s completely shutting off in the middle of the spin cycle. What should I fix? It is showing an error code of 3E.

SORRY, I GOT TWO QUESTIONS SWITCHED. THIS IS A CONVENTIONAL AND A CONVECTION OVEN.. THE OVEN IS RUNNING LOWER THAN THE SET TEMP AND THE FAN ISN’T STAYING ON IN THE CONVENTIONAL SETTING. THE LARGER FAN WAS RUNNING IN PREHEAT AND I’M NOT SURE THAT IT STAYS ON OR NOT.

SO SCHEMATICS AND DEBUG MODE INFO SHOULD ANSWER MY QUESTIONS.
THANKS

Hi,
Our Samsung induction element is not working. It just clicks now when we use our induction cookware. Do you know if there is a fuse to check?

We had this and it working fine at one location, and now not at it’s new location in a different house. Doesn’t seem like the compressor is even running at all. I opened up the back to take a look around and there is a harness that is loose, and stretched really tight from the compressor. I reattached it firmly in place and it came back on but I’m worried it will happen again with the wires being so tight and barely fitting where they are supposed to go.

We’ve been out 3x now and customer is beyond frustrated. We have changed the heating element and the thermostat separate calls. Both times machine tested and cleared as working but when the customer put it in use, no heat.

washer is not draining, but I just replaced the pump 2 yrs ago, the pump seems to have proper resistance, touching it through the filter hole.
I recall the flapper can be a problem , it’s a rubber check valve . Is it possible a hot steam cycle made is flexible enough to push through and cause problems with all cycles? it started on steam cycle, now all cycles won’t drain. I thought i would ask you guys before I go to the trouble on this .

also I know your 29.00 only co=vers one appliance , but I just need a recommendation, matching dryer dv448gp/xaa is a bit noisy, do you guys recommend replacing the springs and wheels around the drum, or should I wait till some happens?
