GOOD MORNING. WHEN I GOT THERE THE WASHER HAD WATER IN THE TUB. I PUT THE DIAL ON SPIN AND DRAIN AND PRESSED START. AT THIS POINT FOR ABOUT 2 SECONDS I HEARD THE PUMP ENGAGE AND SOME WATER CAME THROUGH THE LINE. IT THEN STOPPED AND TRIED TO START THE SPIN CYCLE, BUT THEN IT CUT OFF. I TESTED VOLTAGE TO PUMP AND FOUND 110 VOLTS AT ALL TIMES, EVEN WHEN THE WASHER WAS NOT IN ANY CYCLE. PULLED OUT THE PUMP AND PUT 110 VOLTS TO IT AND IT WAS SPINNING WELL. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT. THANKS, TODD FROM NY.

Hi. I have attached the tech sheet for you. First I would check to see what error codes you have stored in the system and run an automatic test to see if the drain pump runs in auto test. Or, run the manual test mode and turn on the drain pump to see if it runs or not. Does the impeller seem loose on the pump? Some pumps will fail with the weight of the water , but will run fine with no weight. IF you have proper power to that pump and its not running the pump is bad or something is preventing the impeller from rotating. IS the pump getting hot or vibrating/ humming when it is not running. Theses are signs of a bad pump that is getting power.

HI BRIAN. I PUT THE WASHER INTO MANUAL TEST MODE AND EVERYTHING WORKED, EVEN THE DRAIN PUMP, BUT THE PUMP WOULD NOT MOVE THE WATER. HERE IS THE WEIRD THING. WHEN I STARTED THE WASHER IN A REGULAR WASH CYCLE, IT WOULD NOT START TO FILL, BUT IT WOULD TRY TO SPIN OUT THEN STOP ABOUT THREE SECONDS IN. COULD THIS BE A BAD PUMP AND CONTROL BOARD? TOO ADD TO ALL THIS, I CHECKED DC VOLTAGE ON THE CONTROL BOARD AT THE ACTUATOR CONNECTION AND GOT 12 VOLTS PLUGGED IN AND 13 VOLTS UNPLUGGED AT THE PINS. THIS PART OF THE TECH SHEET SAID IF THERE WAS A VOLTAGE DIFFERENCE THE ACTUATOR MIGHT BE BAD. IF ALL MANUAL TESTS WORKED DOES THAT MEAN THE ACTUATOR IS WORKING? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • What error codes did this unit have stored in the system? I would make sure you do not have any blockage in the tub near the drain pump or in the drain hose that would be preventing the water from draining out. If there’s no blockage it would appear you have a bad drain pump and I would replace it as long as you’re getting proper power to it.
