Dust Baseboards with Dryer Sheets to Keep them Cleaner Longer

Baseboards accumulate a ton of dust, not to mention they’re often overlooked. But, boy when you do give your baseboards attention they deserve, look out dust bunny central.

The San Francisco Gate’s Home Guides shares a quick cleaning tip—use dryer sheets to dust around your baseboards. The sheets collect debris such as dust and pet hair and keeps your baseboards cleaner longer.

The sheet quickly attracts and holds buildup and coats the baseboards with its anti-static residue, which will repel dust and pet hair. Clean the baseboards with a dryer sheet whenever you notice dust buildup.

Since your baseboards will repel the debris, this means you don’t have to clean as much around the area. Your routinely sweeping will do just fine without breaking your back every other week getting to the baseboards. You could even get away with attaching a sheet to a Swiffer, too.

As SFGate suggests, it’s a great way to reuse your dryer sheets after you’ve popped ‘em in the dryer—they still have enough cleaning power for your baseboards…cut them in half and you’re super savvy.
