What does a drill and toilet brush have in common? Besides the fact that they are tools of great functionality and purpose, when you stick ‘em together, you get a crazy potato peeler that will peel a whole bag of potatoes in literally a minute, ready for the cooking pot. We’ve discussed tossing your potatoes in the dishwasher, or even boiling ‘em and dropping 'em in an ice bath…but this? Nothing tops this. Coming from ye old Facebook, user Leo Morten Lund from Denmark shows you how to peel potatoes like a boss in the video above. Grab up a bag of spuds, a power drill with an extension, a toilet brush attachment (clean and unused please, otherwise, that’s just gross & we just aren’t crossing that line today), a big bucket, and a garden hose. Pour your unpeeled potatoes in the bucket, start up the garden hose, place the drill with the brush attachment in the potato bucket and get to a peelin’. You definitely need to keep the water spraying in the bucket while the drill is on to help get those skins off. Within 50 seconds, you have just saved yourself the hassle of skinned fingers and eaten up time. Pour out your potato water, and toss those spuds in a cooking pot. Potato prep has never been easier. This is the perfect tip when you need to get the job done quickly especially with summer holidays, graduation parties, and family gatherings.
