Adorable Washing Machine Works With the Power of Your Foot

It’s time to pack up. You’re going on a road trip. Don’t forget to pack up your Drumi from YiREGO, a portable washing machine that doesn’t require electricity, batteries, or the rays from Mr. Sun to run.

This little compact washing machine is perfect to take to your cottage, bring with you on your RV trip, accompany you on your camping adventure, and so much more. It’s even economically friendly for washing baby clothes, pet clothes, and a small load of laundry when you’re on the go. There’s no need to hand-wash or go to a laundry mat. So in reality, this cute washing machine is perfect for the poor college student. No quarters required. Plus, get this, if you’re tight on space, you can store Drumi in the shower or in your closet—aka you can store this washer in wet or dry areas.

So how does it get its power? This 22-inch tall machine spins the drum thanks to the power of your foot stepping on its pedal. The Drumi lets you wash up to six to seven garments at a time, too. Not bad.

All you have to do is lift the handled dome, pop in your clothes, toss in some detergent, and add 5 liters of water in the little guy...then pump away from 1-3 minutes. If you’re unsure of the water measurements, no worries, the lid has a built-in measuring device for water and your detergent. Think of it as a glorified salad spinner...except for your clothing. To drain, press a button to let out all of the icky water. Then, fill it up with another 5 – 8 liters to rinse for another 1-2 minutes of pumping action.

Made out of 40% of recyclable materials, this foot-powered washer saves you money, electrical energy, and time…it’s definitely an environmental conscious way to wash your clothing. According to YiREGO, you will use 80% less water and detergent compared to a regular washer per load!

The price isn’t so bad, either. The Drumi costs $129 to pre-order until April 23—so we missed that deal, but the Drumi will retail overall for $160. Its expected release date will be sometime in July of 2016.
