Clean a Garbage Disposal with Baking Soda, Vinegar and Boiled Water

Sometimes, a smelly garbage disposal just becomes inevitable. This happens mostly when you do not flush enough water after disposing whatever it is you are disposing in the garbage disposal.

With just a few things in your kitchen, you can clean it yourself using baking soda, vinegar and plain boiled water.

Simply boil your water and pour it into the garbage disposal, give it a minute or two, and then pour in a mixture of baking soda and the vinegar, turn on your disposal for a few seconds, and then give it a last flush with hot water again. Within a short time, your garbage disposal will be good to go.

The baking soda is an odor absorber while the vinegar neutralizes unpleasant smells—a definite advantage as they both eliminate any odors from the garbage disposal.
