Cool Down with Tado’s Smart Air Conditioner Controller

Technology is constantly evolving, and smart devices are more popular than ever. We have smart TVs with internet connectivity, smart lights controlled from a smartphone, and now smart air conditioners.

Tado, a tech company based in Europe, recently released a smart thermostat that allows you to control the temperature of your home using a smartphone. The other good news? They offer this device in the United States.

If you want to control the temperature of your home, but don’t want to replace your entire thermostat, Tado’s smart air conditioner controller is compatible with A/C units that have an infrared remote control.

Simply place the A/C controller in the line of sight of your infrared remote controlled A/C unit. It will then give you the ability to control the temperature of your house from your smartphone or tablet.

Tado allows multiple users to connect to it, and it tracks your location through a WiFi signal. When everyone who has the app installed leaves the house, Tado will shut the A/C off—saving you energy and money. When it detects someone is coming home, it turns the AC on automatically so you’re comfortable when you return home.

There are other similar devices on the market, but so far Tado is the only one that connects directly to an infrared A/C unit.

MSRP: $199.00
