The Ultimate Grilling Hack: Grilled Donuts

Call me old-fashioned, but not even in my wildest dreams would I imagine such a plot-twist for the humble donut. But just hear me out, as you are about to discover a match made in culinary heaven. The concept is quite simple really, slice a donut up in halves like bagels and place them on the grill. Why? So you can get that awesome melted glaze on top and a crispy toasted surface on the bottom. There is no particular brand for this grill hack, all donuts are welcomed—although the simple glazed ones work best. So don’t toss out those stale donuts, they have sweet redemption written all over them.

For optimal results, the heat should be set to high with only about a minute or so on each side to grill them nicely. Just be careful when flipping the donuts as they can fall apart and lose some charm, but hey, they are still awesomely delicious. Last, when both sides are nicely done, serve them right off the grill along with ice cream, for it's the only ice cream sandwich you will ever need.

Uh, year-round grilling, anyone?
