Laundroid Folds Your Laundry

We have to admit that we are all afraid of a world where we must do our own laundry. We have to check the labels and separate the clothes, start the washing machine and set the washing type, load the machine, add detergent, close the lid and then wait for the cycle to finish...Afterwards, we have to get the washed clothes out of the washing machine and then throw them in the dryer. And after drying, comes the folding... What’s a person to do?!

It is calculated that an average person spends approximately 9,000 hours or 375 days in their life folding laundry.

However, we may now rejoice because the technology of our "no laundry" dreams are here, thanks to Panasonic, Daiwa House (Japan's largest home builder) and Seven Dreamers Laboratories. The collaboration between these companies produced the first automated machine that washes, dries and folds the clothes for you. It is called Laundroid.

Laundroid had its debut at last year's CEATEC consumer electronics show in Tokyo and is still in a demo version at this point, but in near future, we may be able to dump all of our laundry into one machine and they'll appear washed, dried, folded and neatly organized directly in our drawers.
