Bake and Broil shut down when temperature
reaches approximately 250F. How do I correct this ?

Ice or Frost Formation Around Ice Box Door Opening

The hose that comes out of the refrigerator goes behind the compressor to the front of the refrigerator. Can this hose be replace on a GE Profile refrigerator?

Besides a bad belt, what other components could cause the belt not to turn. The washer stopped on its own, did not trip any breakers, it would advance to the next cycle manually but the belt was slipping and tub was full of water. They cut it off after this. I have not been there to check it yet, I was told this on the phone.

Original issue was it was not defrosting at all now after I replaced the main board and Defrost bimetal thermostat with a thermostat I had that was a WR50X55 The customer says the temperature fluctuates between 35 and 45° F once or twice a day so I’m guessing it does not defrost frequently enough. Could it be that I put in a random GE defrost bimetal thermostat that I had on me? Let me know what you guys think I want to stop by there this afternoon and fix it and if I could have a basic explanation of bimetal defrost thermostat’s maybe there something I don’t now because most fridges if it’s not defrosting you need to replace the Defrost control but certain fridges just replacing the thermostat will suffice.
HEATER TESTED OK. I replaced the thermostat just in case, I did not suspect it of failure.

This General Electric side by side has a frozen up evaporator. Heater and defrost thermostat are good thermistor seems good. Suspecting adaptive defrost control board. This model is not electronic touch control, it has the mechanical dials to set fresh food and freezer settings, my question is is there a way to put this fridge in a forced defrost ?. Any advise would be much appreciated. Also wondering if you have encountered any bad solder joints on these boards?
