It says ideally you should only udjust temperature if it needs to be increased but in this case it’s way too hot and I already replaced the thermostat.. any ideas on what else I can try??
  • Have you verified the temperature yourself ? Is this a customer with a dial thermometer telling you the temperature is off ? If so many times we find customers with cheap dial based thermometers that are significantly off on temperature readings. You need to check it with a digital meter with a temperature probe to watch the on and off cycle. If you checked it with am accurate probe, I would try to adjust the temperature screw counterclockwise to decrease the temperature. If that does not work, you may have a defective new thermostat.

Tested the thermostat and sure enough anything above 300 results in a temperature 150f higher than set temp. The programming attached file is for the duel fuel unit not this fully gas unit. I checked the whole thermostat and no udjustment screw anywhere. It’s almost as if the knob is incorrect.

Checked if it’s the correct knob because the customer just mentioned he replaced the knob about the same time it started malfunctioning….. Relabeling new knob then testing for accuracy to confirm it was the knob.
  • Lets hope it is the knob, please let us know. Thanks
