Customer complaint is the icemaker will not make ice. Stored error E2 – Icemaker cannot find home position. Harvest test failed.
Left unit running, but it never made ice on its own.
Returned later and found:
Ice mold full of frozen cubes that were never harvested.
Stored E2 again.
Further diagnostics:
Harvest test manually dumps the ice with no issues.
Fill test works and refills properly.
Unit cools normally with no temperature complaints.
Fill tube is not frozen.
After fan replacement, all tests still pass in diagnostics, but if left overnight the icemaker never harvests automatically and E2 returns again.
At this point the icemaker operates normally in service mode, manually harvests and refills correctly, but never starts an automatic harvest cycle during normal operation
Replaced icemaker W11658802. After replacement, all diagnostic tests passed including harvest and fill. No stored fault codes on the refrigerator side. Replaced ice box fan W10846539 as a precaution.
All thermistors pass diagnostics.
All refrigerator component tests pass.
Temperatures check good throughout the unit.
Inspected icemaker wire harness and found no visible damage.
