Thank you very much the call is 45 miles one way any ideas one what it could be and may be what I should bring. Could it be the main computer board ? Thanks
  • Check for broken wires at the bottom of the door. These models are common for broken ice maker wires. Check for continuity through each wire from under the toe kick where the harness plugs in and then at the ice maker to see if the wires are broken. You would need to replace the freezer door to replace the wires. The only other things would be a bad door switch or control board if you wanted to return with those parts. Control would not be common. Make sure the door switch is engaging all the way when the freezer door closes.

Thanks Brian, I went there and there was not red light at the emitter for ice maker bin. I checked it out and found wire was pushed back in connector I pushed it back and red light came on. I called him the next day and he said never made ice, and red light was not on. I guess I will order a new wire harness. Does that red light all the time till ice bin full? Thanks Rodney
  • Not sure if the light stays on all the time on this one. There should be a test in the tech sheet to test the emitter. Sounds like the only part you have not replaced yet would be the receiver board for the emitter. p #WPW10518658 Other than that you must have a broken wire.

Hi brian, i went there and replaced the wire harness on the emitter board. and replaced the WPW10518658 board before. There was 14 volts at plug going to emitter board. And still no ice. Need your help. Don’t give up on me. What else could it be? Thanks
  • It sounds like the only part left would be the main control board. I would order and take one with you. Check your wiring especially at the bottom of the door. It is common to have broken wires in this area. When you go back the first thing I would do is check for those broken wires and if they’re good cycle the ice maker in Diagnostics to see if it will cycle and fill with water for you.

Thank you, I will check the wires again and bring a board. could it still be a board and still getting 14 volts at emitter plug.
  • Yes. The U.I sends the 14 volts to the emitter. Then the main board sends the 120v to the ice maker.
