was able to replace it based on your video but it is still leaking and getting ice in the bottom. Do I have to defrost it? I did not do that or could it be something else wrong?

Hi. Yes you do need to defrost the drain after installing the new drain kit. You can do this by taking the freezer apart and manually defrosting it or by leaving the unit unplugged with the doors open for up to 24 hours. Attached is a video that shows how to manually defrost the drain.
