The customer insists the glass isn’t big enough to be held by to clips on the inside of the door. replacing the outer glass calls for 316452702. anyone know of any issue with this

Hello
The part number 316452702 is for the outer door panel . If the outer glass is not big enough or the correct size one of two things can be the issue.1) The customer may not be installing it correctly. 2) The glass is boxed incorrectly from the manufacture. I would call the parts distributor and get a measurement on the glass and compare it to the customers measurement. You can then go by process of elimination , if they are both the same measurement the customer is most likely not installing it correctly. Matt Ace technician
