Styrofoam insulation for evaporator has become saturated with water from a backed up drain

We always replace the complete evaporator cover which includes the insulation, fan, housing, sensor, etc., it is all in one deal. You are on the right track when finding drain backup, saturated insulation will cause drain freeze up.
