Customer complained that washer would not spin or drain. When I arrived I noticed the tub had dropped down on support rods, and I need to replace them. Is there a cause other than the rods springs failing that causes this. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has the fast track I would appreciate that as well.

Hello
The dampers have definitely failed, I usually start by looking at the pressure/level sensor. I have seen several of these where the sensor was defective and allowed the tub to overfill with water.
The other failures I see are usually from the customer constantly overloading the washer. A slow drain pump will cause excessive drag on the support rods also. Check to see if the pump will drain the tub in 30 seconds or less. If not, replace it. I would also tug on the wire to the drain pump and make sure the wires aren’t broken. I’ve found them barely attached before when the customer was overloading the unit.Matt Ace technician
