My Maytag washer will not complete a cycle.

Hi, I watched your video on the clogged washer and got as far as taking the dasher out but we can’t get the tub to come out. Do you have any suggestions?

My Maytag washer will not start up.

My ice maker is not working. No water is getting into the tray to make cubes. I have left it for 24 hours, still no ice.

Machine is 27 years old but has run fine until now. I’ve replaced the coils and checked for continuity on high end thermostat and the cycling thermostat. Blower is working fine and we do not have a vent obstruction. Dryer starts normally, igniter heats up and flame runs about 8 seconds. Igniter cycles intermitantly but with the same short burn time. Timer does not advance in dry cycles but does work in “less dry” period at the end of a cycle. I’m thinking the burner shutting off prematurely is causing the timer not to advance, but I’m at a loss as to why that is.

Six-year-old washer has been loud for several months and periodic problems with spin cycles. Diagnostic codes F7 E1 and F7 E5.
Inspecting the clutch, it looked fine (no wear) but I noticed a lot of brown powdery residue on inside of clutch. (I remember a few years back finding a small puddle of rusty brown water (not oily) and a splatter spray from the liquid dripping onto the belt. The operation of the machine seemed fine and I never noticed the leak again.) I was going to try replacing the tub seal and actuator, and probably the lower harns-wire. But when pulling the transmission, I see that the entire inside is coated with this brown residue. I’ve been told there are no bearings from which oil might leak.
Is my transmission compromised?

Before sending this question to you, I paid for your video “Maytag gearbox repair and diagnosis” hoping to get a better understanding of how the transmission works. I was very disappointed to see that it was merely how to replace the transmission–something that is available for free on several appliance parts sites. I request that my $7.99 “rental” be credited back to my credit card.

I changed the main control board and I am unable to save the code I enter. I know the code because it is shown inside the fridge. Once I add the code from the display, I press the button then it doesn’t save.

Customer complaint is that it’s been throwing unbalanced errors. They will go on to readjust load but that does not help. All they can do at the point is drain the water.

Looking for any suggestions

My Maytag washer is shaking around a lot.

This unit started skipping the spin/drain cycle several weeks ago (using the 1oclock to 5 oclock section of the timer).
Manual rotation of timer dial to other spin mode locations worked for a while,
Now it will not spin/drain at all.
The last attempt to try I manually manipulated the tub and manually rotated the belt (the transmission and pump spun), a switch retry seemed to get it to work for a second and stopped…. now nothing seems to work.
There is no humming, the agitate runs and timer advances etc., the lid switch seems stops the agitate mode etc.
It seems there is no switch on/current to the motor for the spin action.
I have a voltmeter and can make a direct test power harness etc (saw a youtube that suggested that to test the motor.)

My Maytag MVWX700XL2 washer starts before the spin cycle starts. Only error code was F9 E1. When it runs through diagnostic test, the spin works but not in normal cycle. Pumps out fine. Pulled everything apart. Cleaned inner drum and pump. No debris found, only some film and a little silt.

My front load Maytag washer will not start.

the board lights up
i can select the option i want and when i press start nothing happens i see it trying to move to the cycle but nothing happens.
i did check the door switch and thermal fuse and all is good.
can it be the board?

Two weeks agp the oven would shut off in the middle of baking, and now it doesn.t even  start to bake.

During the rinse & spin cycle the agitator spins wildly and makes an insanely loud screeching/grinding sound while whipping the clothes so hard and fast they stretch and if caught right, will rip. If I cancel the cycle and select “rinse and spin” it will rinse the clothes, but then during the spin cycle the malfunction will occur again. I then tried a “drain and spin” cycle which seemed to operate normally.

I need to diagnose the issue and identify the right part to replace.

This is a Maytag Bravos MCT

I changed the duck bill drain per you video (it was stopped up) and installed the new pea trap drain with no problem yesterday. I didn’t have time to get the ice out of the bottom till today..just finished doing that..I still had water on the floor this afternoon. Could it be because I didn’t get the ice out till today or am I frozen somewhere else?? I can see a frozen trickle of ice in the back right corner of the freezer. Thought about using a hairdryer in that area but I’m not sure if I should.

I’m looking for a lid lock that will fit this model, the one I carry does not. Does anyone there know?
