My compressor is making noise, I like to look into it but need to remove the freeze bins (top and bottom) to get to it. I’m having trouble with the removing the bins. I was able to remove the door on the freezer, but I’m stuck on removing the bins. Seems like there are 2 tabs on the top bin that’s blocking the top bin from sliding all the way out. Is there a way to remove the blockers? Am I suppose to remove the top bin first then the bottom bin? Let me know if I’m going at it the right way.
Thanks,

What have you tried so far?

I’ve tried to remove the bins to get to the compressor in the back. I’m following your video here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSiLmJQmzEY), but it’s for a different model. I’m stuck removing the bins for this specific model. Any tips will be wonderful and I’d appreciate it. I’ve tried calling Sears because it’s under warranty, but the repairman was lazy and didn’t bother trying to look in the compressor. That’s why I’m going to do it myself if I can. Thanks!

HI. Yes there are 2 stop pans that have to be removed to take out the top basket. Use a flat blade screw driver to remove them from each side of the track. Then the basket can be removed. Are you getting noise from inside the freezer or the compressor? The compressor is located at the back of the unit and is accessed from the rear of the unit. Not through the freezer.

I’m getting noise from inside the freezer. When the fan starts. I’ve tried to remove the 2 stop pans with the flat head screw driver, but wasn’t successful. Any tricks or tips to get the right angel on this? Seem like it’s screwed maybe?
