I had to disconnect the door switch to stop it from dispensing ice and clogging the ice shoot and filling the freezer. Is this the main board or do I need to change both it and the interface board or something else? Is there any videos or repair help answers. I couldn’t find anything. I’ve been trying to use the other resources and the premium videows and manual but couldn’t find any thing. If there is a way to navigate the site to find such things could you show me?

Hello
Check the auger door switch, that is the switch you disconnected I assume. Make sure to check the wires where they go through the door hinge for a pinched or shorted wire. Will it still dispense ice if the lever is pressed even though it’s running all the time? Check all connections including the ground to the auger motor. If all checks okay, I would start with the dispenser UI control board.

  • This part was on national backorder. I just received it and installed it and it (the interface board) didn’t solve the issue. I have checked all harnesses and grounds and connections. The door switch is good for the augers . I did observe that the dispenser hatch opens when the freezer door is open and when I close the auger door switch then the auger motor comes on. Is it the main board or a possible bad wire?
  • I would check your wiring from the auger to your control board. Make sure you have continuity with the wires and that none are shorted to ground. If that checks out good, then it sounds like the main control is faulty. You could find the relay on the board for the auger and test it to see if it is stuck closed
