diagnostic codes for whirlpool

HI. The first error code is a lid lock error. If this was the first error code you got when you put it into diagnostics, this is your most recent error code and is why the lid lock light just flashes. It is unable to lock the lid and then gives this error code. The other error codes include , #2- motor unable to reach target RPM, #3- Basket speed sensor fault, #4 – stuck key.
Theses error codes get stored for the life on the unit if not cleared, so they could be from long ago. I would not think you have this many issues with the washer all at once. I would focus on the lid lock error if the washer was working fine up until this problem with the lid not locking. It could be the door latch or the control board and can be hard to test which one has failed. I would start with the cheaper and more likely fix of the door latch.
