LRFD25850ST LG French door refrigerator
Drain keeps freezing up , cleared in May of last year and problem is back. In parts lookup I see a different drain pipe assembly that looks to be of shorter nature. Old number 5251JA3003D, new 5251JA3003E. Any suggestions other than the usual cleaning and steaming. It has a rubber flap on the end of drain as opposed to the duck bill. Has anyone else have issues with this setup? Thanks in advance

I have run across this before and have had some success notching the end of the drain tube. Whether it be a duckbill or flapper, it seems to help. GE had a similar issue with their refrigerators and offered the same shorter tube with instructions, so apparently this is the same product design.
