Good morning,

My GE Upright freezer is not freezing. I unplugged it because it felt like a refrigerator and I am not able to find a video on my freezer in your repair videos. I did see one that was similar to my GE that the guy name Ryan was doing with a Kenmore. I have removed the panel and needless to say there is not ice because I unplugged it days ago. Do you have a video for my GE upright or do you think it is the same problem that the Kenmore video showed?

Hi. There are many different things that can cause your freezer to not cool. I have attached a video showing how to check if your unit is low on refrigerant. Another thing you can do is turn the unit back on and give it 24 hrs to cool. If it starts cooling properly again it may not be going into self defrost causing your issue. If this is the problem it will work good for about a week or so, you will notice it not freezing again and frost will appear on the back panel. AT this point you would need to determine which defrost component has failed. IF you need any further help please let me know.
