We would appreciate some advice on this unit.
A few weeks back it was faulting out with an F71.
We replaced the MCU it ran fine for the few weeks.
This is a well used unit in a care facility.
New complaint “not spinning enough” It will run thru cycle till final spin, 13 mins left in cycle. It will spin slowly and not advance past the 13 mins on display. Not showing a fault code.
It will spin in the test cycle.
Any advice would sure be appreciated.

If the tach-gen on the motor is bad, it will not signal the proper rpm feedback to the MCU and CCU. Likewise, a pressure switch which is beginning to fail might indicate water still in tub, preventing final spin. A clogged airline on the tub is another indication.

  • I checked continuity to the tach-gen, I’m getting the 115 ohms it calls for, and the pressure switch is testing good as well, should i be looking at the ccu?
  • Yes, but if you are any good with a soldering iron, you might just need to touch UO the two tracks that the MCU harness uses on the left side of the CCU board. If the harness has worn down the solder on the track, it could be making intermittent contact. There are videos showing this done if you need links.
  • Great information thank you
