Center burner one element like grittle. What is happening two separate infinity switches. If you turn on either one of the burner it will blow the 40 amp breaker.
I tried to isolate the problem and took center burner out so there wouldn’t be any load. It will still blow the breaker when you turn the infinite switch on then turn it off blows the breaker. It has new infinite switches that are all new. They are wired right to the schematic. There is a short some where now I have to look at all the wiring and to the socket. Have any ideas that could be causing the problem. The down draft fan runs on low and high from the toggle switch. I thought this might have something to do with it. I don’t think so at this point.

Hi. I have seen similar issues on this unit before. I think you have a shorted wire inside the unit. You will take the top off of the unit to get to the burner wires inside. There probably is a wire that is touching the cabinet inside somewhere. The screws to remove the top may be around the inside edge under the burner inserts. IF not they are around the outside edge and you will have to uninstall the unit to get to them.
