On my Maytag dishwasher (mdb7749sab0) the lights don’t come on when I press Start. It won’t start. Happened yesterday and then it worked. Also, it worked again today, but tonight, the problem is back. Press Start and nothing.

First try to unplug the unit or shut the breaker off to the unit for 2 full minutes to reset all the controls on it. See if that changes the condition if not that is a common issue you would need a new touchpad to fix the unit.
