Power O.K. to terminal block. No Lights, Nothing Works.
Replaced main control board per troubleshooting guide supplied with dryer, but did not fix problem. Dryer will operate fine once (infrequently) then nothng works after that. Checked through to control panel connections..everything is clean and tight, Dryer would not work after replacing main control board. Put old board back in and it worked for one complete cycle. Then no lights and no start situation again.

Door switch clicks crisply and seems O.K. but haven’t tested due to access.. Light comes on inside drum when door open and off when door closed.. If I need to remove back panel I need help with how to remove “clip” at vent opening….can’t figure how to unclip.

There are two boards inside user panel….nothing burnt, all looks clean and fine except a tiny bit of corrosion on the board side of the wide ribbon cable. (cleaned and WD-40).

If I remember correctly, both times that the user panel lights came on and dryer worked was directly after I had thrown the main fuse (at the main house fuse box) off and then on, but I have been unable to duplicate this scenario.

Please help, and if I have to remove back panel from dryer cabinet, advise how to unclip the clip at the vent opening.

Thanks

Hi. You can rule out the door switch. A faulty door switch would not cause the unit to have no lights on the control panel. It seems like you have also ruled out any loose connections. You had power at the terminal block and still no lights on panel. Just make sure your connections at the control board are good. You have already replaced the maid board so it sounds like you have a bad user interface. I have attached a link to the part.
