changed main controll board WR01F00241 fridge wasnt functioning until it was changed since then firdge has been overfreezing .
defosted all frost and changed defrost thermosat unplugged fridge disassembled main board and re connected eveything still frosting up

Hello
Is the evaporator over frosted or is the refrigerator freezing food items. If the refrigerator is getting to cold start by replacing the fresh food thermister part # WR55X10025 also check the motorized air damper part # WR60X10239, make sure its not stuck open. If your evaporator is frosting up then you have a defrost issue. You will need to check the defrost heater for continuity and if that has continuity and you replaced the defrost therm. the board would be your next step. Matt Ace technician

Hi. There should have been instructions with the new control that tells you to cut a wire if needed. Did you cut the wire?

No didn’t cut a wire ? Is this wire to be cut when board is changed ?. Also compressor continues to run constant doesn’t seem to be going thru defrost cycle.

I found WR55X11098 , to be the correct part number for your refrigerator. There will be instructions in the box if this control may require cutting the wire.
