  1. Dishwasher does a good job of washing dishes
  2. Problem is that the control buttons on the top edge of the door do not illuminate making it hard to read the buttons.
  3. No buttons are illuminated when the door is first opened to select a wash cycle.
  4. Selecting POWER or any particular wash cycle causes the outline on the button to illuminate but the text remains dark
Model Number
LDF7551BB
What have you tried so far?

Reviewed the wiring diagram for the unit but it was not helpful as to where to check the power supply for the button illumination vis-a-vis the control board.

HI. If the buttons lights are the issue then it looks like you will need p#AGL33667106- control panel assembly If the display There is also a display board of p# EBR72910203. Take a look at the links I have provided that shows pictures of each part. I can not tell if the display board has any lights on it. It looks like the lighting would be on the control panel. Tske a look at your unit. You may need to take it apart to gain access to these parts. Which ever part has the lights on it that is giving you trouble is the part you need to replace. I have not seen this exact model you have, but have replaced many control panels on many different makes and modes of dishwasher to fix this issue. I find that 95% of the time its the control panel and not the control board as long as the panel is what has the lights on it that is giving you the trouble. There is not a good way to test this with a meter.

Is the Display Board (#EBR72910202) a sub-assembly of the Control Panel (#AGL33667106) such that purchasing the Control Panel would include the Display Board ???
  • Looks like we have 2 separate display boards. They are EBR72910203, and EBR72910102. It does appear from the one image I found online, which is the link I sent you, that the control panel-AGL33667106 includes the 2 display boards with it. Then we have the main control board of EBR63265303, which does not appear to be your issue. . I would replace the control panel if your having issues with both display boards. Looks like the cost of the control panel is slightly more expensive that one of the display boards.
