Technicians, This Whirlpool French door refrigerator seems to have a intermittent problem .while customer was away the refrigerator lost power and they lost all their food, when they were touching controls refrigerator came back on and seemed to function normally , they have noticed front displays flashing on and off and returning to normal. Refrigerator is functioning normally at this time, display is normal refrigerator is at 39 freezer 2 above zero. All fans running . I went to the main control board checked wiring harness also gently flexed the board to see if their might be a bad solder joint. Could not cause it to fail. I do not have any service information on this model. If you might have any service information you could share with me I would appreciate it. Any advise would be appreciated. Thank you for your help.
Checked wiring harness on the main contro board, checked fans, checked them in refrigerator and freezer. All seems to be normal.

See the diagnostics technician sheet listed below. We ran into a situation like this and it ended up being a bad plug connection at the outlet. I would check for proper polarity and ground along with solid terminal connections. There are two service bulletins, nothing related to your issue. Matt Ace technician

Hello Before rteplaceing the board , I would toggle it throgh the service test mode. See instructions below. Service Test Mode:The service test functions are performed using the refrigerator display and keypad. Enter the ServiceTest Mode by performing the following sequence of events: 1.Press and hold the Door Alarm Keypad 2.Press and hold Refrigerator Temperature Up Keypad 3.Release the Door Alarm Keypad and wait 3 seconds. 4. The Freezer display will display SE confirming entry in the Service Mode. 5.Press the Refrigerator Up Keypad again to confirm entry in the Service Mode. 6. Display will show 101 in left display and numeric or dashes in right display. 7.Press Freezer Up Keypad and Freezer Down Keypad to toggle through Service Test numbers. Service Test – 241 Software Revision Main Control Board• Display shows the Software revision of the Main Control Board). Service Test – 244 Software Revision Display Board
