Our refrigerator is not staying cold and the freezer has quit as well. We don’t hear any fans running, and I’m pretty positive the compressor is not coming on either. Is it dead? Do I need a new one? Where should I begin in finding the problem?

What have you tried so far?
Cleaned those coils underneath and checked to make sure the breaker wasn’t flipped.

Marlene, in cases like this, we suggest first checking the main control board. I’ll add a link below showing how to access it and change it if needed. Hopefully this helps. If you get this far and it check out ok, let us know and we’ll help further diagnose.
