Machine does not agitate or spin.

What have you tried so far?

1. Motor resistance check on all three pins OK at approximately 12 ohms
2. Hall Sensor appear to be OK. Verified 5 volts, power and ground terminals. CN3 connector, pins 4 and 2, 1.1Vdc and 0Vdc. CN3 connector, pins 4 and 3 1.1Vdc and 0Vdc according to drum rotation.
Question: What should the resistance be between pins 4 and 3 and pins 4 and 2 of the hall sensor? Mearsured 4.5 Meg ohm.
3. Verified wire harness is OK. Motor to main pcb is ok and hall sensor to main pcb is ok.
4. Main PCB has been replaced with a used one.

  • I did not find the 3e2 error code listed in the tech sheet. The only error code close to that would be 8e2. The AE4 error code is a communication error between the sub and main control. It did not mention anything about wifi that I seen. There is not way to positively test to see which is faulty. Which error appears on the display when the unit stops working? The 3E error code can appear for an overloaded washer. If this is not the case , you may have a faulty hall sensor. I would replace this first as long as your wiring looked good. The hall sensor would be the cheapest fix and the most likely fix.

    Thanks for your support thus far. As far as the 3E error code, I checked the hall sensor and replaced it. The motor has been replaced also. I verified continuity ok between the hall sensor connector up to the main control board and did the same with the motor connector up to the main control board. No discrepancies found. Part replacement summary: 1. Hall sensor replaced 2. Motor replaced 3. Main control board assembly replaced 4. Wiring verified and/or wire harness, no trouble found. Problem still not resolved. That’s is why I turned to you guys. I was thinking that you’ve seen this problem before.
  • Sounds like the only thing left it could be is the control board. Make sure this is not due to overloading. Check the shocks and suspension. Sorry, we have seen this error before but we find faulty hall sensors typically.

    No, it’s not overloading. The drum spins freely. Which control board are you referring to. As mentioned in my comment above, the main control board has been replaced. Fail mode did not change.
  • Yes, I was referring to the main control. I see now that you have replaced that already. It appears that you have replaced all of the parts that can cause this error code. Very strange. So the bearings are good, the tub spins freely and there is nothing causing any drag on the basket such as some thing stuck between the inner basket and outer tub? At this point you may have some electrical interference coming through the line or a bad connection or bad wire in the machine that is intermittent.
