Motor spins, apparently pumps water, hear clicking noise that matches RPM of motor. No tub spin or agitation. How do I gain access to look at inside — doesn’t top assembly lift up, and if so how?

Mike, I sent you two video links below on a transmission drive coupling. I am 95% sure this is your issue and the part is $18.00.
