Hello

There is a product available from FOX that is called Scratch-Be-Gone which is a kit of abrasive items which you use progressively until you achieve a finish match. They were at our convention demonstrating this product a couple of years ago and I was impressed with the results. See the link below on Amazon. The finish on stainless steel appliances, unless it is a mirror finish, is accomplished by using as abrasive such as sand paper to get the “brushed” finish. The more coarse the sand paper, the more defined the “brushed” finish will be. I would suggest you practice on a piece of stainless prior to your trip to the customers home to effect the repairs, just to get a feel for what it takes to get that finish match you are looking for.Just one caution, practice using the kit before you attempt to use it on your customers door. Or you can grab a package of 000 grade steel wool pads at Home Depot. Rub the scratch WITH the grain of the stainless, and it will e removed. This also removes a little of the patina, causing the area to be shinier than the rest for a few weeks, but this is only temporary. Matt Ace technician
