I recently replaced both the inverter board and the main control board on a built-in KitchenAid refrigerator. After the installation, everything powered on correctly — the refrigerator started running, and the compressor engaged as expected.

However, I noticed one connector that I couldn’t find a place to plug in. I thoroughly inspected the wiring and confirmed that everything else appeared properly connected. The only issue now is that the ice maker’s optic board isn’t receiving power, and the infrared beam isn’t turning on.

To troubleshoot, I even replaced the optic board with a new one, but the issue persisted. Since I installed the new service board for the main control, I suspect the unplugged connector may be related to the optic system, but I can’t find where it should go.

At this point, I need help identifying where this connector belongs. Ideally, I’m looking for:

A wiring diagram or schematic for this model

A clear image showing where the optic board connects

Or a detailed video walkthrough that covers this specific issue

I’d appreciate any guidance so I can complete the repair and make sure the customer is fully taken care of.
