I have a Family Hub 5 Software update window on my Hub. I am unable to scroll through the message and I am unable to click the Ok or Cancel buttons. I have tried powering off the hub and killing power to the fridge and after each reboot the screen comes back and I can not do anything with it.

I have a screen shot if that would help.

Can I get instructions on how to get into diagnostic mode?
Is there a way to roll back the update process?

Any other suggestions?

Hi. I have attached the service manual for you. I will have all the information for this unit including the diagnostic mode. I did not find any information on the issue you are having.

  • I appreciate the manual. Is there a way to reset the unit to default without using the touch screen?
  • Assuming worst case scenario and the touch screen magically went bad. What is the part number?
  • I am not aware of anyway to reset the unit. Make sure you unplug it for at least 10 mins when trying to reset it. There is a diagnostic button on the control board on some of these. It will tell you in the manual. It looks like the touch screen would be p # DA97-17068P
