grinding noise

Hi. I assume the grinding noise is coming from the fan motor when it is turned on. This looks like the only moving part. The fan blades could be hitting against something, or the blades could be bent. You could also have bad bearings in the fan motor. It could be a possible cabinet vibration noise from the cabinet vibrating against any walls or cabinets installed around it or from loose installation. The damper does not look electronic, but could still vibrate. I am not finding any repair or technical information on this unit. I did find replaceable parts, but they did not list the fan motor. I would take a look at the owner’s manual for any troubleshooting information or call the manufacturer.
