Three days ago, I heard a noise after the washer completed its cycle. Upon inspection, I’ve discovered, the square-shaped motor on the bottom of the machine is running non-stop. It will only stop when the machine is unplugged. All other operation seems fine: e.g., dishes are getting cleaned, water is draining and there are no funny noises while the machine operates. Further, there are no blinking lights.
I cannot find anything online, including your videos, which describe the symptoms I’m observing. My only guess is whatever controls the motor is causing the problem – a stuck relay, or a bad board… I’m stuck and need help.

Hi. I have attached the service manual for you. It does sound like your drain pump relay on the control board is stuck closed. The dishwasher will go into a drain mode if it detects certain error codes. But if your not getting any errors and the unit works normally otherwise, the relay must be stuck closed. You can test the relay to see if it is closed.

Thanks for the quick reply. After reading through the manual, the motor that’s running is the circulation motor. Do you still think it’s a control board issue? If so, how do I test the relay?

Take a look at page 70 and 75. This will show you where the wash motor relay location is. With power off to the unit you can test the relay to see if you have continuity. If you do, the relay is stuck closed and the control will need replaced. Does the motor run even when the unit is off? If so the relay must be stuck.

Thanks! Also, we’ve just learned there’s a gurgling sound while the machine is off… Does that change the assessment?

Nope, that sounds like the motor running while it is off. Sounds more like the drain pump, but I think you said previously that it was not the drain pump running.
